Gators in the NFL- Conference Championship

Former Gators Demarcus Robinson and Marcell Harris will be playing in Super Bowl LIV on Feb. 2 in Miami Gardens. 
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A pair of former Gators are Super Bowl LIV bound after claiming conference championships on Sunday. 

Demarcus Robinson reeled in two catches for 31 yards to help the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Tennessee Titans 35-24 and claim their first AFC championship and Super Bowl appearanve since the 1969-70 season.
 
Former Gator defensive lineman Joey Ivie, a member of the Titans, was inactive.

In the NFC Championship game in Santa Clara, the San Francisco 49ers handled the Green Bay Packers 37-20.

Marcell Harris made an appearance on the 49ers' special teams unit and will be the second Gator to play in this year's Super Bowl.
 
Super Bowl LIV will mark the 18th straight Super Bowl with a former Gator, dating back to Super Bowl XXXVII in 2003 when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Kenyatta Walker and Lomas Brown) defeated the Oakland Raiders (Mo Collins) by a final score of 48-21 in San Diego, Calif.

This now marks 74 Super Bowl appearances by 57 former Florida football players.

UF is guaranteed to have a Super Bowl winner for the 22nd time, including a representative on the last three Super Bowl-winning teams.
