Apple releases second public betas of iOS 13.4, iPadOS 13.4

Surfacing just one day after the latest developer betas for iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4, Apple has provided the second public beta counterparts, which are now available to download.

The second wave of public beta builds can be picked up from the Apple Beta Software Program website those who signed up to take part in the testing scheme. The public versions usually follow a short time after their developer beta counterparts, and are generally expected to be functionally similar to the developer versions.

The first public betas for iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 appeared on February 10, five days after the first developer betas were released. The second developer betas were issued on Wednesday.

in the first betas, Apple included a large number of changes, including the return of iCloud folder sharing, a feature that was promised for inclusion in iOS 13, but was removed just before its release. Other improvements include options for developers to offer a single app purchase that work across the entire Apple ecosystem, new Memoji stickers, keyboard shortcuts for editing in Photos on the iPad, and references to a new API called "CarKey"

AppleInsider, and Apple itself, strongly recommend users don't install the betas on to "mission-critical" or primary devices, as there is the remote possibility of data loss or other issues. Instead, testers should install betas onto secondary or non-essential devices, and to make sure there are sufficient backups of important data before updating.
