California’s Supreme Court rejected a state law that would have required President Donald Trump to disclose his tax returns to appear as a candidate in the state’s primary election next spring. Stark difference betweenNewsom, Trump updates

Re: “Watch: California Gov. Gavin Newsom provides update on COVID-19 response, April 2” (Mercurynews.com):

I just watched Gov. Gavin Newsom give his April 2 update on the state’s COVID-19 response. He also took a good number of questions from various journalists from up and down the state.

Let me just say that the contrast between his direct, clear, honest and informed presentation with that of the daily presentations from the White House could not be more glaring.

No political agenda, no snarky retorts to reporters, no grandiose patting himself on the back for what the state has accomplished.

What a relief. I find the daily White House presentations so exasperating that I have to mute the TV when Mr. Trump comes to the podium, and I unmute it when Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx make an appearance. Thank you, governor.
