This article is more than 3 years old.

Teresa Tarmey is known to give good face and so, her clients come back again and again for the youthful glow she gives.

She has clinics in both London and New York but luckily for us, you can pick up her micro-needling kit and other skincare essentials online through her website. So, while in lockdown there’s no better time to get our skincare routine down.

Tarmey shares her personal daily skincare routine from AM to PM so we too, can have nourished skin and a glowing complexion.

I’m a huge advocate of less is more, especially when using the right ingredients for your skin. What I’m not a fan of is layering product after product and over treating the skin. Here’s my personal routine step-by-step.

Morning Routine

Cleanse: I’m currently using my own formulation which has yet to launch - watch this space.

Apply serum: I’m a huge fan of a new brand called Emepelle. It’s actually a brilliant menopausal serum that I once tried and fell in love with.

SPF: I never leave the house without putting on some SPF and I use a tinted one by Heliocare.

Don’t forget the lips: I’m currently using a lip balm by a new brand called Tinker Taylor

Evening Routine

Cleanse: Carry out the same cleanse as you would do in the morning to get rid of the daily grime that has built up throughout the day.

Lactic acid: I apply my own TT formulation three times night a week.

Apply serum: Apply a second dose of the serum as you would in the morning.

Eye cream: NeoStrata Skincare have a product called the ‘Intensive Eye Therapy’.

I then micro-needle once per week, with a very short needle length which is only 0.25 of a mil, I say it like that as describing it’s a quarter of a millimetre sinks in how tiny it is. There’s no pain, just a little tingle so definitely NO blood.

Step by step on the kits

Step 1: On clean skin, apply the lactic acid that gently exfoliates the skin in preparation for the treatment. Leave on the skin and let it dry.

Step 2: Take half of bottle of treatment that’s packed with Peptides, Vitamin C and HA and apply to dry skin.

Step 3: Roller the skin going back and forth several times.

Step 4: Using the gold massage tool that vibrates, massage the remaining treatment into the skin and leave over night.

There also a HA sheet mask for day number 2 as micro-needling can leave the skin a little dry as it’s going though rejuvenation.
