Google Sondar in action on an Android smartphone.
As societies begin to reopen in wake of COVID-19, it may be challenging to maintain a proper social distance of 6 feet.
Luckily, Google is addressing some of those challenges, using augmented reality, with the new Sodar web app.
The app, available for Android devices with the Chrome browser loaded, will use a smartphone’s camera to display a ring on the screen, which gives an approximation of 2 meters (or 6 feet).
Compatible users can experience Sodar here, as there is no app download required.
