Today, RH officially unveils RH Marin, The Gallery at the Village. It’s a natural extension for the brand, as its large luxury retail spaces—complete with glittering restaurants—have become a cornerstone of its business. The move is especially fitting considering the fact that the store is RH’s hometown flagship, as its headquarters is located just across the road in Corte Madera, California.

“RH Marin is a deeply personal project given its proximity to our Center of Innovation and Headquarters in Corte Madera,” RH chairman and chief executive officer Gary Friedman said in a statement. “It’s a reflection of our very best work to date—an architecturally inspiring and immersive experience that blurs the lines between residential and retail, indoors and outdoors, home and hospitality. Our entire team is proud and honored to bring this innovative concept to the town we call home.”

Across approximately 60,000 square feet, separate areas are devoted to a series of the brand’s collections. RH Interiors will take up much of the first floor, and the brand’s modern and outdoor collections are also set to be included within the retail space. RH’s interior design firm and atelier, and its rug showroom, will also be represented. Interestingly, the gallery’s second floor will display contemporary art from General Public, actress Portia de Rossi’s company. Many visitors may, however, head straight to the third and final level, where the RH Rooftop Restaurant and Park are located.

When viewed from afar, the store’s charcoal gray Venetian plaster exterior is impossible to miss, as are its impressive plants. In addition to 100-year-old heritage olive trees, the dining area will be filled with evergreens. And in an especially fitting nod to the store’s broader surroundings, its wine bar will feature a series of selections from the nearby Napa Valley: appropriate supplies, too, to help toast RH Marin’s grand opening.
