A calming escape from reality is what everyone needs right now, and the floating cabins at Hales Bar Marina and Resort in Tennessee offer just that–a place where you can get a little R&R and take in nature’s beauty.

Located less than two hours away from Nashville and about 30 minutes from Downtown Chattanooga, Hales Bar Marina and Resort is situated in the Tennessee River Valley. The Haletown resort rests on the former site of the Hales Bar Dam. From its floating cabins, guests can watch the sun rise and set over Lake Nickajack.

Guests can choose from fully furnished one-, two-, or three-bedroom cabins. Each cabin features a deck that’s ideal for sipping morning coffee on and fishing. Inside, you’ll find everything you need: a kitchen, living/dining room, and even a TV if you’ve taken in enough nature for the day and want to enjoy a movie night.

During peak season (April 1 to September 30), the floating cabins start at $149 a night with a $25 discount Monday through Thursday. Off season prices (from October 1 to March 31) start at $99 a night with the same nightly discount on Monday through Thursday.

If you’re not entirely sure about the whole cabin-on-water situation, the resort has land cabins for around the same prices. Oh, and they also have a full hookup RV campground on and off the waterfront if that’s up your alley. The options are plenty!
