Coronavirus: Broadway actor Nick Cordero dies aged 41 after serious COVID-19 complications

Broadway actor Nick Cordero has died at the age of 41 after suffering severe medical complications as a result of coronavirus.
The star died at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles on Sunday surrounded by his family, his wife Amanda Kloots said.
Cordero had spent more than three months in hospital and suffered a series of mini-strokes, blood clots and septic infections after testing positive for COVID-19 at the end of March.
The Waitress star was on a ventilator in intensive care and had his right leg amputated in April. He also had to have a temporary pacemaker fitted.
In an emotional Instagram post yesterday, Kloots wrote: "God has another angel in heaven now.
"My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth.
"I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him."
Describing him as a "bright light" and an "incredible actor and musician", Kloots thanked his fans for their support during his 95 days in hospital.
While he was in a coma, she uploaded daily videos of their one-year-old son Elvis to social media and asked his followers to participate in a daily sing-a-long of his song Live Your Life.
Cordero, who had moved to California with his family to star in the musical Rock Of Ages, was also known for his roles in A Bronx Tale and Bullets Over Broadway, which saw him nominated for a Tony Award.
Viola Davis was among the stars to pay tribute to him, writing to his family on Twitter: "My heart is with you all."

Fellow Broadway actress Kate Shindle said she was "heartbroken for his family and deeply saddened by the loss of this talented and widely loved actor".
Raised in Canada, he made his name in the off-Broadway production of The Toxic Avenger, before debuting on Broadway with Rock of Ages in 2012.
He met his wife while working on Bullets Over Broadway in 2014 and the couple married three years later.
Cordero played Jessie Mueller's estranged husband Earl in the Broadway production of Waitress in 2016
On TV, he appeared in several episodes of Blue Bloods and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and had a film role in Going in Style.
