Ask POD: Training camp has begun!

With the COVID-19 testing and the physicals now done for the majority of players in the NFL, training camp is officially underway in the NFL. Sure, that doesn’t come with the same amount of excitement that a normal year brings, but it’s something.

As of Monday, all teams are able to begin conditioning training and walkthroughs with their team. It’ll be the first time all offseason these players will work alongside each other at their team’s facility, and just over a month from now, they’ll be doing it for realsies when the regular season begin (fingers crossed).

Anyways, with training camp underway, it’s finally time to talk about some Detroit Lions news, and there were a couple of big stories that dropped over the past week. Matthew Stafford obviously headlines the local media after testing positive for COVID-19 on Friday, and there were also a couple of Lions players who decided to opt out. We’ll discuss what that means for the team in the next few week.s
