Steph Curry admitted he’s a little jealous of the NBA players competing for a championship during the league’s restart in Orlando. Luckily for the Warriors star, he apparently has a pretty sweet consolation prize awaiting him.

Curry will reportedly soon be securing his own brand at Under Armour, in much the same way Nike created a separate Jordan brand that dramatically increased the NBA legend’s footprint.

The announcement of Curry’s new brand at UA is expected within the next month or so, according to Letsgowarriors.com, which has deep connections in the shoe market.

The timing couldn’t be better for Curry, who told the New York Times he’s been experiencing major jealousy since the Warriors weren’t invited to the NBA’s bubble.

“Obviously I was happy to see basketball back on TV, but that first week I had major FOMO (fear of missing out),” he told the Times’ Marc Stein. “Once you see Bron (LeBron James) and Kawhi (Leonard) and P.G. (Paul George) go at it, and you remember how much fun it is to play in those types of games and that kind of level, you miss it badly.”

Curry’s brother, Seth, said he’s noticed not being on the court isn’t sitting well with Steph.

“For most of my career, I’m usually the one who’s been home watching Steph late in the season,” Seth said. ” Now it’s the other way around and I’m still at work. I can tell it’s a little tough on him.”

Maybe it’s given Steph enough time to perfect his new shoe brand? We’ll let the “sneakerheads” be the judges of that.

The new Curry brand will naturally be accompanied by the release of the latest of his signature shoes, the Curry8 Flow. And, as it tends to happen with the marketing of new shoes, there was a “leaked” video showing Curry’s new kicks.

This time, the Warriors played a role in the seemingly unauthorized sneak peek. The team inadvertently posted an Instagram video clip of Curry working out at the Warriors facility while wearing the Curry8 Flows. It was quickly deleted, but not before the video was copied and re-posted by others.
