Sugar Mama. Who’s Your Daddy. The Good, the Bag, The Unagi.

Now that we have your attention, there’s a new Japanese restaurant in Dublin’s Hacienda Crossings Shopping Center offering 30-plus specialty rolls with some pretty colorful names.

Kanpai Sushi, located in the former Fish on the Grill space, opened at the end of August and is offering a grand opening special: 20 percent off orders through Sept. 16. The restaurant is currently open for takeout, delivery and outdoor dining.

Chef-owner Alen Yip, who also owns and runs Kanpai Sushi at 5865-D Lone Tree Way in Antioch, even offers a roll named after himself: The Alen Roll features crab and shrimp tempura inside and salmon, avocado, crab, honey mustard, spicy mayo and unagi sauce baked on top.

In addition to specialty sushi rolls ($13-$18), the extensive menus at both locations also feature a large array of appetizers ($5-$15), udon noodle dishes ($11-$15), salads ($5-$15), lunch and dinner combos and a substantial kids menu.

Kanpai Sushi is located at 4930 Dublin Blvd., Suite 640, Dublin. Opening hours are 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and 4 to 9 p.m. for dinner Monday-Thursday. On weekends, the restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. with no break between lunch dinner.
