OAKLAND — Three men were shot early Monday morning in East Oakland and a woman was shot Sunday night while driving near Lake Merritt, police said.

An arrest was later made in the woman’s shooting.

The three men, one 19 and the other two 21, were shot at about 12:23 a.m. Monday in the 2200 block of East 20th Street.

One of the men was taken to a hospital from the scene. The other two got their own transportation to a hospital. All three were reported to be in stable condition. Police believe the three are friends.

Although all three victims were uncooperative, police believed they were shot by someone who fled the area in a vehicle.

No motive has been determined yet for the shooting and no arrests have been made.

Police said a 28-year-old woman was shot at about 7:50 p.m. as she was driving in the 500 block of Brooklyn Avenue near Lake Merritt.  Police said she was shot by a man she had gotten into a verbal dispute with who fired at her vehicle as she was leaving the area.  Police have not said what the dispute was about or if the two knew each other.

The woman was able to drive to the 2100 block of Lakeshore Avenue where police found her and she received medical attention before being taken to a hospital where she was in stable condition, authorities said.

Police were able to locate the suspect and take him into custody at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of Wayne and Wesley avenues.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $15,000 in reward money in the shooting of the three men for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.  Anyone with information may call  police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
