• Ryan Seacrest recently posted a “thirst trappy exercise video,” as Kelly Ripa called it.
  • Fans were blown away by his strength, but even more so by his sweeping curly hair.
  • “This is why I rarely post things after the show,” Seacrest said of the video.

Ryan Seacrest usually keeps his Instagram strictly business-related, and last week, after posting a “thirst trappy exercise video” as Kelly Ripa called it, he remembered why. In the clip, the talk show host balanced on a slant board while curling 25-pound weights. Fans and followers were blown away by his strength, but even more so by his sweeping curly hair, which is typically brushed back on TV.

A few naysayers barked at him to get a haircut, but most fans loved it. “You and Andy Cohen have never been more handsome than you are now with your CURLS—on your heads and with your arms . 💪🏼💇🏻‍♂️❤️,” one wrote. “I LOVE YOUR CURLS!!!!” another exclaimed. “I love your hair. Keep it growing,” another added. “That takes strength and hardcore balance. Way to go, my friend!”

Seacrest’s Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host, Ripa, was also impressed by the style. “Forget the balancing, forget the board … I focus on the Clark Kent hair,” she said on the Sept. 25 episode. “Because the hair is truly the unsung hero of the video.” She added that of the 427,000-plus views it’s garnered so far, she’s responsible for “at least 5,000.”

Seacrest, clearly bashful over the comment, replied, “This is why I rarely post things after the show. This right here is why.” Ripa remained unapologetic. “If loving that video is wrong,” she quipped. “I don’t wanna be right.”

If you also support this new side of Seacrest, you might have to savor it now, because he’s not sure he’ll post anything like it again—not because of the comments, but because it was difficult to film alone. Due to the pandemic, he’s working with his trainer Justin Gelband over FaceTime.

“It’s so embarrassing to shoot yourself,” Seacrest said on the show with a laugh. “Here’s why you won’t see that again. [It took me] 20 minutes to figure out where to put the camera, to lean it up against a kettlebell … then you gotta walk up and hit record, then you see yourself walking back to stand on the slant board, which is embarrassing. Then I look at my posture and think, ‘Why in the world am I gonna post this?’”

The real question is, Ryan, why wouldn’t you? Please keep the fitness (and hair) content coming!
