The Best Hair and Makeup Moments From Paris Fashion Week
Fashion Month is wrapping up for the spring/summer 2021 season in France this week and keeping up the momentum with stunning beauty moments. Like London Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week is adapting to the global pandemic by putting on a mix of traditional, in-person runway shows and digital presentations with extravagant videos.
Creativity is still high, nonetheless. One Parisian designer duo even figured out a genius way to adorn models' faces with gems without actually touching them. Makeup artists at other shows seem to be focusing their energy on one part of the face to limit the amount of time they're in contact with each model. Prepare yourselves now for Paris Fashion Week's takes on black eyeliner and eye shadow at Dior and Chanel, respectively. We swear the looks are less emo and more sophisticated than they initially sound. Another highlight to look out for: Makeup artist Fara Homidi and hairstylist Louis Ghewy also teamed up for a show to create an incredibly accurate post-spa look complete with flushed cheeks and wet hair. They somehow made our everyday, just-got-out-of-the-shower vibe into an incredibly chic aesthetic.

Miu Miu1/11Miu Miu: Luminous Skin and shellacked hair
Not only did Kate Moss' daughter Lila make her runway debut at Miu Miu, but also a new Pat McGrath Labs highlighter. Backstage the iconic makeup artist behind the brand swept the Skin Fetish: Sublime Skin Highlighter in Champagne Gold onto Moss' cheekbones for a glassy effect. Sadly, we'll have to wait for the product to launch later this month to try it out. For her hair, Guido Palau created a deep side part before gelling it down into a high-shine low ponytail.

At Hermès, some of the models slicked on nude hues of the brand's new lipstick, Rouge Hermès, like Beige Kalahari, Beige Tadelak, and Beige Natural. Others went bolder with a matte, magenta-toned red called Rouge Bleu. All the shades were framed by dewy skin with a gorgeous glossy finish on lids and cheeks.

Pat McGrath's signature Sublime Skin look of a radiant, fresh complexion with only shimmery, neutral hues made an appearance at Louis Vuitton. She reached for two new Pat McGrath Labs launched to illuminate the models' skin: the new, aforementioned highlighter that was also used at Miu Miu and the Lust: Luxe Lip Balm. (Both are from the brand's holiday collection dropping later this month.) No matter what the texture of their hair was, models also got middle parts from hairstylist Duffy.
Getty Images4/11Chanel: Black Eye Shadow and Pearl Logo Headbands
Black eye shadow blanketed the lids of models at Chanel for a gothic addition to the classic designs. Lucia Pica, Chanel's global creative makeup and colour designer, buffed out the edges to give the harsh color a dreamy softness that complemented the daintiness of the pearled logo headbands. We will definitely be keeping that smoky black shadow and pearl hair accessory combo in mind for future looks.

Getty Images5/11Acne Studios: Gradient Lips and Beaded Hair
Makeup artist Peter Philips proved lip liner can be the focus of your whole makeup aesthetic at Acne Studios' show. He concentrated the color on the outer corner of the lips and blended the hue, which was a burgundy slightly darker than each model's skin tone, toward the center.
A surprise element was also added to the wet, slicked-back hair look. A string of beachy beads dangled from the back of models' heads.

Before models strutted down the streets of Paris for Chloé, makeup artist Pat McGrath added dense black shadow on the inner corners and smoked it out towards the middle of their eyes. Then, she drew on flicks at the outer corners to complete the dramatic look. Sleek, straight hair with deep side parts, courtesy of hairstylist Guido Palau also brought an edginess to it.

Dries Van Noten7/11Dries Van Noten: Bobby Pin Art
Artfully placed clusters of bobby pins held back models' hair into finger wave-like shapes with the help of hairstylist Sam McKnight for Dries Van Noten's spring/summer 2021 lookbook. You could probably go through a full pack of Goody Bobby Pins for this look alone. (For the record, it comes with 60.)

For lingerie brand Etam's Paris Fashion Week show, several different makeup looks by makeup artist Karim Rahman were sent down the runway. Our favorite was these disco ball-like arcs of holographic silver glitter surrounding the model's eyes paired with tousled waves. Try it with the E.L.F. Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in Bling Bling for a mess-free (and Best of Beauty-approved) finish.

Backstage at Dior, makeup artist Peter Philips encircled models' eyes with thick, pitch-black lines with subtle points at the inner and outer corners using the brand's Diorshow 24H Stylo in #091 Matte Black. The rest of their makeup was kept simple and fresh to contrast the sharpness of the eyes. Hairstylist Guido Palau, on the other hand, created middle-parted buns with purposeful flyaways. Then, he slipped on knotted headbands.

A full face of makeup wasn't needed at Victoria/Tomas as models topped their heads with colorful tulle, bedazzled veils connected to bucket hats. The gems were like Euphoria face adornments without having to glue them on. Hair was kept minimal, too, with sleek waves and polished bobs.

Makeup artist Fara Homidi called the look at Coperni "spa chic" on Instagram, adding it focused on an "ultra-hydrated, just out of a facial glow with deliberately placed flush all around the face." You can recreate it by swirling the Clarins Joli Blush, which just won a Best of Beauty Award, across your cheeks and the bridge of your nose.
Hairstylist Louis Ghewy amplified that vibe with wet, slicked-back ponytails and side parts clipped back with bobby pins.
