Gators Will Visit West Virginia in SEC/Big 12 Challenge

Florida is 6-3 all-time vs. West Virginia, 2-0 under Mike White, and will make their first visit to Morgantown since 1970.
Florida will visit West Virginia in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on Jan. 30, 2021. Florida holds a 6-3 record all-time vs. the Mountaineers, including 2-0 under head coach Mike White. Florida defeated a ninth-ranked WVU team in the 2016 SEC/Big 12 Challenge, 88-71, in Gainesville, then added another victory vs. the Mountaineers at the Jimmy V. Classic at Madison Square Garden in Dec. 2018, 66-56.

Overall, the Gators will play five power conference opponents in its nine-game non-conference schedule, including four away from home. In addition to the trip to Morgantown, the Gators will visit Oklahoma and Florida State, host UConn and have a neutral-site game vs. an ACC opponent to be announced.

Florida holds a 4-3 record all-time in the challenge, including a 1-2 road record. West Virginia will be the Gators' third repeat opponent in the event, previously splitting two meetings with Kansas and Baylor.

The Gators have split four previous trips to West Virginia, all of which came between 1963-70.
