Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted
HTC has announced a whole host of the top horror VR games have their way to Viveport in time for Halloween, and there's some pretty good deals to be had.
Headlining the new spooky additions to the platform are Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted, a VR adaptation of Scott Cawthon's jumpscare-heavy indie megahit, and Phasmophobia, the four-play ghosthunting game that is currently taking Twitch by storm. Other games include Layers of Fear VR, the VR version of Blooper Team’s horror classic, Wrest, Dreadhalls, Affected: The Manor (which is getting a brand new ‘Darkness Mode’, that severely limits the already scarce light sources) and Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul.
If you've been thinking about hopping into VR, HTC's also running a Halloween-themed hardware deal. If you buy a Vive Cosmos or Vive Cosmos Elite, you'll also get Pranormal Activity: The Lost Saul, Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted and zombie shooter Arizona Sunshine for free to keep. This promotion ends on November 1.
If you've already got a headset, there's also a deal running on Viveport Infinity, HTC's subscription service that is VR's closest answer to Xbox Game Pass. If you buy an annual subscription to Viveport Infinity for $99, you'll get The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners for free, again to keep. Considering Saints & Sinners is easily one of the best VR games of the year alongside the likes of Half-Life Alyx, and you get unlimited access to the entire Viveport Infinity library (which includes every game mentioned here, bar The Walking Dead), that isn't a bad deal.
Viveport isn't only for HTC devices, as many games support both Oculus and Valve's headsets as well. While you'll get the best bang for your buck if you're a Vive user, these definitely aren't bad deals for any VR player.
The Walking Dead offer lasts until November 3.
