Meet Pakistan’s armless snooker player

Mohammad Ikram, 32, loves nothing more than sinking snooker balls.

He was born without arms and uses his chin as a cue.

“He would come and ask that he be allowed to play,” Ian Usman of the Cue Master Snooker Club said. “We looked at his arms and thought he couldn’t do it. He said he played with his mouth. He said: ‘Watch me play first’. So we watched and saw that he was actually very good, so we let him play. Sometimes he wins against other players and sometimes he loses. He’s very good.”

Mohammad’s practice paid off. He has gained the respect of other snooker players in the Pakistani city of Samundri. He has been playing against others for eight years now.

“God didn’t give me arms but gave me courage, and I’ve used it to fulfil my ambition,” Mohammad said. “So, no one should lose hope, follow your ambitions.”
