The stabbing was reported on the 16000 block of Sundance Drive about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, the Morgan Hill Police Department said in a news release. Officers arrived to find a man standing near the front of the home and detained him without incident.

Inside the home, police found an unresponsive woman with multiple stab wounds. She was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

An initial investigation determined the man had stabbed the woman during a disturbance, police said.
