Honor moves on from Huawei as it signs deals with Qualcomm, Intel, and others
Huawei sold Honor to a consortium in mid-November and the former sub-brand is wasting no time rebuilding the relationships that deteriorated under current US trade sanctions.

Honor has signed deals with Qualcomm, Intel, Samsung, and more

Speaking at the Honor View 40 unveiling event earlier today, Honor CEO George Zhao announced that partnerships have been signed with leading chipmakers Qualcomm and Intel.

The newly independent brand has also struck important strategic deals with other suppliers including Samsung, Microsoft, AMD, Sony, MediaTek, Micron Technology, and SK Hynix.

These partnerships should cover key components such as chipsets, camera sensors, and software for products ranging from wearables and smartphones to tablets and laptops. In a statement on the current situation, George Zhao said the following:

Honor plans to continue providing an entire ecosystem of products rather than focus on one segment. However, smartphones will continue to be at the center of the entire long-term strategy.
