ALAMEDA — A teenage girl was shot Sunday afternoon in the Park Street Business District, authorities said.

She suffered  a non-life threatening wound. Her age has not yet been released.

Two other juveniles with the victim were not injured, police said. Police said the three were from Alameda and other nearby cities.

The shooting happened at about 3:40 p.m. Sunday in the 1400 block of Park Street, one of the city’s main commercial areas.

Police said the shooting happened outside but have not said whether the shooter was in a vehicle or on the street.

The victim was transported to a hospital by firefighters.

A motive for the shooting has not been released and no arrests have been announced.

The police department’s Violent Crimes Unit was immediately called in to take over the investigation, authorities said.

Investigators, along with patrol officers, were interviewing witnesses, conducting an area check, and reviewing video surveillance, authorities said
