The goal of this educational series is to provide inspiration on how you can successfully transition your photography into cinematography.

Often, when photographers start working with a video camera, they can misplace the voice they’ve worked so hard to develop in photography.  The energy of their typical practice somehow gets lost in the translation to motion.

This series explores some of the pitfalls of this transition, and offers some thoughts on how you can best guide yourself into the new medium.

You’re introduced to the unique technical concerns of cinematography, and how easily you can translate your photographic skills.  Take your strengths in still images, and evolve them into motion, without losing what makes your work unique.
