Tom Brady: Aaron Rodgers Will Make Choice That's Best for Him amid Packers Dispute

As Aaron Rodgers' reported rift with the Green Bay Packers continues to play out, Tom Brady chimed in on the situation.
In an interview with Jori Epstein of USA Today, Brady said he thinks Rodgers will "make the choices he feels are best for him."
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported in April that Rodgers had told some members of the Packers that he wants to be traded amid ongoing frustration with the organization.
Per Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, the three-time NFL MVP is willing to consider a prolonged holdout or potentially retirement if the Packers don't fire general manager Brian Gutekunst.
The Packers have given no indication they intend to move on from Gutekunst. The 47-year-old told reporters after the first round of the 2021 NFL draft they "are not gonna trade" Rodgers.
Rodgers hasn't taken part in any offseason activities with the Packers thus far. The next significant date on the calendar for the two sides will be July 27 when training camps open around the NFL.
The 37-year-old is under contract to the Packers through the 2023 season. He is owed a $14.7 million base salary this year and $25 million in each of the next two years, per Spotrac.
Brady and the Buccaneers ended the Packers' season with a 31-26 win in the NFC Championship game on Jan. 24.
