L’Agence Showcases Its ‘Champ De Fleurs’ Spring/Summer ‘22 Collection

This article is more than 2 years old.

Calling all L'Agence fans, this Californian brand has digitally unveiled its Spring/Summer '22 collection, and it’s optimism in clothing form.

Entitled, 'Champ de Fleurs' as the name suggests, the line was set against a floral runway backdrop and as always, the brand pays homage to the female form. Hot shades of orange sit alongside rich emerald green, striking cobalt blue, neon green, and playful lilac to radiate an easy breezy happiness, tapping into that Los Angeles vibe.

Known for their denim styles, this time there's a twist in the form of vintage-inspired patchwork, and in classic L'Agence style, it's teamed with timeless double-breasted blazers. There’s also the coordinating bottoms for full look suiting, and then there's the slinky silk dresses, all of which come together to exude that West Coast-meets-Paris ethos

Felicity Carter: Tell us about the collection?

Jeff Rudes: For our Spring 2022 collection titled Champ de Fleurs, we presented a fresh take on our classic aesthetic with premium fabrics and style paring. Details play a big part, from patchwork denim to soft bias cut silks and blazers from a curated group of fabrics which are a combination of modern menswear and a feminine point of view. Suiting was extremely important to us within this collection and we showcased these in multiple colourways including neon green and lilac.

FC: What materials and shapes can we expect?

JR: As previously, denim is the canvas to this collection, however we also had a variety of textures and fabrics that are unique to this collection such as pop color silk dresses, pastel leather blazers along with crushed velvet soft suiting. Details such as one shoulder flowy silhouettes, deep v slinky wide leg jumpsuit, off shoulder smocked poplin tops; these were designed to complement our essentials.

FC: What were the influences behind this collection?

JR: For this collection, we were influenced by a combination of the casual sophistication of the Cote d’Azur and Hollywood’s iconic glamour. Soft washed linen suiting, tie-front blouses with a matching skirt, next to sequin blazer, neon pop dresses, and finished with metallic and brightly coloured strappy sandals.

FC: Tell us about the colorways and prints?

JR: This season we have included many more pops of colour compared to previous seasons. Colours such as a pop green and chartreuse, with soft pale lilac and blue, which are grounded with buttery neutrals. Prints consist of vibrant florals, butterflies, chains, and stripes.

FC: What L’AGENCE design signatures are carried through to this line?

JR: We have brought back our slip dresses and dusters which are our signatures for the Spring/Summer season. Our tailored blazers which we feature in every season in a new colourway and fabric as well as our classic denim must haves.

FC: Can we expect more accessories apart of this collection?

JR: Absolutely, we are in the process of creating 2 new product lines, in which we can’t disclose until a later date. Spring Summer 2022 is our second full collection of footwear, which is further cementing our expansion as a lifestyle brand.
