Jennifer Aniston revealed she received multiple texts about the rumors that she was dating David Schwimmer following the premiere of the "Friends" reunion earlier this year.

In May, Aniston, 52, and Schwimmer, 54, admitted they both had feelings for each other while filming the popular sitcom, but nothing had ever come of it. Shortly after the admission was made, rumors surfaced that the two were dating in real life all these years later.

"That's really funny," Aniston told Marie Claire Australia in an interview published Wednesday. "I was just saying, ‘I hadn't heard a word of this.' Honestly."

"I was getting a couple of texts from people saying, ‘I thought you were on a break, LOL.' And I kept saying, ‘What are you talking about?' And then I went online to see what was happening and I was like, ‘That is the funniest rumor that I never heard that got shot down in the quickest amount of time,'" she added.

During the popular reunion special, Schwimmer admitted he "had a major crush on Jen" while Aniston also told late-night host James Corden "it was reciprocated" during the show’s run from 1994 to 2004.

"We were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing," Schwimmer, who shares a 10-year-old daughter with ex-wife Zoë Buckman, added of his attraction to Aniston. "One of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary."

The actress played along and reflected on the frequent flirting the pair engaged in while they acted opposite one another.

"I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is on national television.’ And sure enough, it was," Aniston said in the special. "We just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel."

Representatives for both Schwimmer and Aniston denied the rumors to Fox News last month.
