REPORT: Bucks Sign Grayson Allen to Two-Year, $20 Million Extension

The Milwaukee Bucks and guard Grayson Allen have agreed on a two-year, $20 million dollar rookie extension, per ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Bucks acquired Allen via trade with the Memphis Grizzlies during the offseason, after the Duke product averaged 10.6 points per game in 2020-21 while shooting 39.1 percent from 3-point range. During his time with the Grizzlies, Allen also earned playoff experience, which improved his fit with a team needing more off-ball threats.

For the reigning NBA champions, extending Allen’s contract is a significant sign of their belief in his ability to help them repeat.

Allen recorded 10 points, six assists and two steals as a starter in Milwaukee’s 2021-22 season opener, a blowout win over the Brooklyn Nets.
