NITIE’s Biggest Annual Business Festival of India - AVARTAN 2021 to be conducted virtually from 23rd to 31st October 2021

National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai (NITIE) will be conducting one of the biggest annual business festivals of India - AVARTAN 2021, virtually from 23rd to 31st October 2021. With a legacy of 27 years, AVARTAN has successfully orchestrated corporate excellence with each passing year. AVARTAN attracts some of the brightest minds of the country through multifaceted events encompassing conclaves, business events and competitions.Multiple events are conducted under the banner of two flagship events - NITIE PRERANA Business Meet and NITIE LAKSHAYA.

The festival will begin with a curtain raiser of the flagship event – ‘NITIE Prerana Business Meet’, by Mr. Harsh Mariwala, Founder & Chairman - Marico followed by keynote speeches by Mr. Amish Mehta, MD & CEO - CRISIL, Ms. Kirti Seth, CEO - NASSCOM SSC, Mr. Neeraj Akhoury, MD & CEO - Ambuja Cements & Mr. Kishore Jayaraman, President (India & South Asia) - Rolls-Royce.
In addition to that, NITIE Lakshya has created its mark by hosting thought leaders in the domain of supply chain and operations. This year’s flagship NITIE Lakshya Business Visionary Award will be conferred upon Mr. Arvind Krishna, Chairman and CEO of IBM for his exemplary contribution towards the growth of innovation and technology around the globe. NITIE Lakshya also organizes conclaves focused on IE, SCM and Manufacturing. NITIE “On the Job Achievers’ Contest” is the only event across Indian B-Schools wherein corporates present their projects to distinguished juries. General Ved Prakash Malik, the former Army Chief, will inspire budding managers through his leadership experience in the event called PowerTalks. Sparsha is a confluence of CSRs and NGOs to bring out a meaningful change in society.
Apart from this, AVARTAN will also include a series of insightful events like the ‘Prerana International Business Conclave’, attracting speakers from 4 different time zones. Also, for the very first time, NITIE will be conducting ‘Prerana Strategy Conclave’, emphasizing on the growing role of strategy in the global business environment. ‘Cita De La Prerana’ host personalities who share their life stories to kindle a hidden spark of inspiration among the audience. NITIE also conducts conclaves in the domains of Finance, Supply Chain, and Media where eminent personalities from the industry bring their thought leadership to the budding management students. Summer Project Contest provides a platform for second year management students to showcase their summer projects and share their internship experiences. NITIE Director - Dr. Manoj Kumar Tiwari is the patron of this event, whose leadership has scaled this event to a great extent. Prof. Hema Date - Dean Student Affairs is the convener of the event.

NITIE has earned the reputation of being the facilitator of an enriching platform that fosters engineering brains of the country to become one of the best business minds. Dr. Manoj Kumar Tiwari has always explored new opportunities that are aligning with Government initiatives. Last month, Union Minister for Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal inaugurated the ‘Centre of Excellence in Logistics & Supply Chain Management’ at NITIE with the objective to promote creation of knowledge and capacity building in the area of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Over the years, NITIE has emerged as one of the Top B-Schools of the country.
