Four suspected thieves used hammers during a break-in at an Antioch Walgreens on Saturday night to steal $2,400 worth of merchandise, authorities said.

Police responded to the scene at 8:36 p.m. at 3416 Deer Valley Road, next door to the Antioch Hillcrest Terrace, a retirement home. Authorities say three men and one woman wearing face masks and hoodies went right toward the cosmetics section and smashed open a locked plexiglass case full of merchandise.

The suspects were not apprehended. No injuries were reported by Walgreens staff.

Anyone with more information can call Antioch Police’s non-emergency number at 925-778-2441.
